INVEST IN US!
Suffern Robotics is a prestigious robotics team based out of Suffern High School in New York. Throughout our 20 years as a team, we have been to the World Championships five times and have won countless awards for various aspects of our team such as programming, documentation, robot performance, and for having an overall strong team.

The mission of the FIRST program is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills. These skills inspire innovation and foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership. More information about the FIRST program is available at their website: www.firstinspires.org

This year’s FTC Tech Challenge theme is “Into The Deep”, which requires the students to design and program a robot that will place samples in baskets and specimens on rungs. The goal of this challenge is to earn more points than the opposing team. There are two periods of this challenge: Autonomous and Driver Controlled. Teams can earn points by placing samples into the baskets, placing specimens onto the rungs, achieving different level lifts, performing autonomous tasks, and navigating into specific parts of the field. Our teams work diligently to create simple and effective solutions that will allow us to succeed. To help us afford our ambitions, you can donate to our cause. We graciously accept your help and would greatly appreciate it!

The regular operations of the Suffern Robotics team are covered by the Suffern Central School district. However, the cost of trips is not covered in our budget. Your donations will help ensure that students can focus on the challenges, as opposed to worrying about how they will get there.

Donations may be made to the “Suffern Syborgs Robotics Team” and sent to Coach George Mugno, Suffern High School, 49 Viola Rd., Suffern, NY 10901, through our website.

We are also interested in developing long-term relationships with area engineers, scientists, and other business and community leaders. If you are interested in learning how you can be involved as a mentor or volunteer, please let us know as we welcome the opportunity of growing our family.

We are very proud of the enthusiasm and dedication showed by these students. We thank you in advance for your support and for helping our students and robots represent New York’s Hudson Valley! We are an approved 501(c)(3) Non-profit Organization and your donations are tax-deductible learn more here.
